Choosing your door style

Choosing your door style

Choosing the door style that's best for you is completely subjective. Some people love the classic look of Shaker doors, while others prefer the sleek look of Hi Gloss Slab doors. Whatever you choose, we've got you covered. Whatever the criteria for your choice, you'll find what you're looking for at The Kitchen Door Site.

Styles Choose from Shaker, Slab, High Gloss, Matt Finish, Handleless, Solid wood or custom sizes. You'll probably have a good idea of the style you like and by filtering your choices on our website you'll quickly get to the options that are most suitable for you.

Colours Colour is important and always subjective. One man's beige is another woman's champagne. We have a great range of standard colours and a palette of 35 Paint to Order Colours available on some of our doors.

Materials The difference in door cost is usually determined by the material the door is made from, and or, finished in. Solid wood generally costs more than MDF and painted doors usually costs more than vinyl wrapped doors. You can see from the table below each door, what your door is made of and how it's constructed, along with a whole load of other useful information. Make sure you check the lead-time for the delivery on your chosen door to avoid any delivery surprises.

Finish The finish and feel of your door is always down to personal choice. Some people love a shiny gloss lacquered finish, while others like a more traditional matt painted feel. The choice is yours. Make sure you check the finish that you choose is the one you want. There's no better way to be sure of your colour and finish than to order a sample door.

Budget It's always a good idea to start your search with an idea of budget in mind. When you know how much you have to spend, choosing a door style, colour and finish, can be made all the easier. Use our quick calculator to get a quick idea of the costs involved in replacing your existing kitchen doors.
